Our Process

Every story deserves care, attention, and a thoughtful journey from first idea to finished film. Here’s how we make it simple and meaningful:

1. Review Packages & Add-Ons

Browse our packages and optional extras to find the combination that best matches your vision. You can explore all the details on packages and add-ons here.

2. Plan Your Story

Think about how you’d like your story to unfold — the key moments, chapters, or themes that matter most. Gather any meaningful artifacts you’d like to include, such as photos, letters, or keepsakes. To help you get started, take a look at our post on how to tell your story — it might spark ideas for shaping your narrative.

You can also review a list of sample questions we use during interviews, which may help guide your reflections in advance.

3. Submit Your Request

At any point in the process, feel free to reach out with questions — we’re always happy to help.

And when you’re ready, you can schedule your pre-interview with one of our team members here.

4. Schedule Your Interview

We’ll coordinate a time and setting that works for you (in-studio or on location).

5. The Interview Session

A full interview can usually be completed in a single day, but we often recommend dividing it into two sessions of about four hours each. This keeps the experience more relaxed and less tiring, giving you time to reflect, recharge, and share your best stories.

In some cases — especially when we’re filming additional guests or capturing more b-roll — the project may take a bit longer. There’s no need to worry, though: we’ll guide you through the process and help find the schedule that works best for you.

6. Review the Draft

Once editing is complete, you’ll receive a draft cut of your film to review. This is your chance to watch it through, share your impressions, and let us know if there are any adjustments or refinements you’d like to see before the final version is delivered.

7. Receive Your Heirloom Film

Get your finished portrait in high-quality formats, ready to share with family and future generations.

8. Share Your Story

Pass it on today, knowing it will be cherished tomorrow.
